Chiropractic

Are there Chiropractic Rebates?

Payment is due at the time of your consultation. We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard and offer the HICAPS facility which means you can receive your private health cover rebate, if covered, on the spot.

Do I Need A Referral?

Referrals from a medical practitioner are not required. However, we do work closely with medical practitioners to ensure that the best possible treatment is given to you.

A doctor’s referral is only required for Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plans, Workers Compensation and Transport Accident Commission & Veterans’ Affairs matters.

Pilates

I have never done Pilates before. Should I do a group class or a private session first?

We recommend the OPEN class for beginners but this all depends on the individual and their condition. If you have chronic back pain, are coming back from an injury or are pregnant, a one-on-one session would be best to assess your situation.

We do however reserve the right for instructors to restrict clients to a particular class type for safety reasons if necessary.

What is Reformer Pilates and how is it different from mat-based Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a combination of traditional Pilates with the strengthening and toning aspects of circuit training. Our classes are performed on a spring resistance apparatus called a Reformer Bed rather than on the floor.

Mat Pilates is a full-body workout performed on the floor on a mat.

What do I need to know for my first class?

If this is your first class please arrive 15 minutes earlier so you’ll have time to familiarise yourself with the studio, fill out a registration form and meet your instructor.

What do I wear to class?

Appropriate clothing is essential as it is a workout. We recommend gym tights, leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or singlet top. For hygiene purposes, we recommend clients train in socks rather than bare feet. We recommend you come dressed and prepared for your class.

Do I need to be fit to attend a Reformer Pilates class?

No, everyone comes with different fitness levels and abilities. With small group classes, our instructor can modify exercises to accommodate each individual’s ability, while at the same time allowing the client to work at their own pace.

How do I book a class?

We use the Glofox online booking system.

All classes must be booked prior to coming to the studio.

Book through our website or download our App.

It’s always a good idea to book in advance as our classes can fill up quickly.

Our timetable is open 14 days in advance.

When booking, select memberships, select your credit pack, then book into a class. All class bookings require prepayment.

How many people to a class?

With a maximum of 8 clients per reformer class, our small group classes allow our trainers to focus on each individual to achieve maximum benefit.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 12-hour cancellation window - a late cancel or no show for ‘any reason’ within this 12 hr timeframe will result in a loss of session.

We have a strict no refund, no transfer, no extension policy on all our packages. Please choose carefully and take into consideration the class pack expiry date.

How often should I attend Pilates classes?

This is up to the individual. How often you train will depend on your fitness level, how your body adapts to the training and how well your body can recover. It also depends on your fitness goals and what you do outside. We recommend starting with one to two classes weekly.

Are there any special requirements during Pregnancy/Post Natal?

The ‘OPEN’ reformer class is pregnancy-friendly after your first trimester.

Your Pilates instructor will be able to give you modifications where needed so that you can practice safely.

If you are new to Pilates we recommend you do a 1:1 session before entering a group class, to avoid injury.

To book into one of these classes, use our booking system and email a clearance letter to info@chiroease.com.au before your first class.

Can I still do Pilates if I have an injury?

It will depend on your injury and your recovery. It is best to speak to one of our Chiropractors or Instructors before participating in a class to make sure you are not putting yourself at risk of further damage. Send us an email at info@chiroease.com.au if you have any questions or concerns or if you would like to join.

How old do I have to be to attend classes?

Our classes are suitable for ages 16 years +

If you would like to attend classes and you are younger than 16 years, please email us at info@chiroease.com.au and notify us before your class. You must be accompanied by a guardian/parent throughout the whole class.

Private sessions are available for all ages.

Can I get a refund if I decide to change my mind?

We have a strict no refund, no transfer, no extension policy on all our packages. Please choose carefully and take into consideration the class pack expiry date.
